Garlicky Charred Broccoli with almonds

Simple, quick and tasty. Enjoy the king of brassicas.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Yield: 1

Ingredients:

  • handful of broccoli florets
  • 1T olive oil
  • 1t garlic, sliced
  • 2T water
  • 1T butter
  • Seat salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • large pinch of raw almonds, slivered

Instructions:
1. Oil in pan and wait until just smoking. Add broccoli to pan and don't move, allow to char before turning florets. 2. Add garlic and toss through allowing to just brown. Add water and toss, allowing broccoli to steam. 3. Add butter, salt and pepper and toss. 4. Lastly almonds and a final toss before serving. Don't let the nuts burn.
