It is a total cliché, but working out with Results Room wasn’t so much about what I lost but what I gained. Over 6 months I got rid of 18 extra kilos that were truly weighing me down.  I hadn’t realised how much so until they started to shift, week by week.  As I lost the weight, I gained an increased confidence and a new sense of trust in my body – I could do things that I had never before thought possible!

My trainer Steve and I set new challenges each week, from healthy eating through to new physical exercises.  When I first started out I could barely run 1km, in June 2012 I completed the half marathon!

A lot of the problem has been the typical story of a busy lifestyle. Long hours at work, drinks after work with colleagues, followed by takeaways for dinner and poor sleep. No wonder the weight crept on!

The information that Steve gave me about health living has helped me keep this weight off for a whole year now, and introduced me to a lifestyle that sees me spend time with friends outside in the fresh air, rather than just in the pub all the time (but still some of the time). It's also made me realise that you need to make yourself and your health a priority - no one else is going to.
