I lost about 5kg and my fitness improved so that I could jog a couple of km without collapsing. We both liked that Dan was always asking about our goals and tailoring our workouts to help achieve them. We liked his advice about diet and exercise on non-training days, but we didn't follow it very well. Most of all, I liked how I looked forward to workouts with Dan - he made crawling across a floor pushing a heavy bag kind of fun. When Dan asked us if we'd be interested in joining Results Room we jumped at the chance and haven't looked back.
Training at Results Room is different than at a regular gym - it's the style I enjoyed with Dan, only more so. The key things are the regular training sessions, the Real Food programme, and the focus on goals & accountability. It's not a trainer telling you to "do this exercise to improve your abs", it's a series of conversations about how the exercises you've done recently and the food you've been eating have helped or hindered your goal to run a PB in a 10k race.
The Results Room system works. Over the last couple of years I've set a number of goals and reached them all - run a 6.5k, run a 10k, run a half-marathon, run 4 half-marathons in a year. Last year I started training with Alice and set a goal to improve my fitness and lose ten kilograms in ten months. Three months into it I'm down 3kg and I'm posting competitive results in the Results Room monthly challenges. Training with Alice is just as hard and just as fun as it's ever been and I'm confident we'll be talking about a new goal once we knock this one off in August.
