Turmeric tea

Up your antioxidants with this creamy drink. It counts as a snack when you're on the Real Food programme.

Cook Time: 10 minutes


  • To make your chai powder:
  • 3T ground turmeric
  • 4t ground cinnamon
  • 1/8t ground cloves
  • 1t ground cardamom
  • 2t ground ginger
  • 1-2t cayenne pepper (optional)
  • To make the tea:
  • 4t chai tea powder
  • 1C water
  • 1/2 - 1C warm milk (optionally use coconut or almond milk)

1. Mix all ingredients for your chai powder together, and store in a glass jar. 2. To make the tea (single serving): Bring water to boil, pour water over spices and steep for 10 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh sieve; add milk (and sweetener if required).
